Cats and Humans

Cats are known as domestic pets or house cats to distinguish it from other felines and it is a very small predatory species. They are carnivores and are very much valued by humans for their kind companionship and their abilities to hunt snakes, mice, etc.

Humans are also using cats for breeding purposes as cats are one of the most popular pets in the world with an average of over 600 million homes. About 9,500 years ago cats were cult animals for the ancient Egyptians.

Owning a feline is also very good for your health and it really reduces high blood pressure and other illnesses except for pet allergies! To stroke your pet cat can release all your stress levels and to just hear your cat purring is very comforting and gives total security. Domestic cats thrive on attention and love.

Although your pet cat is so small it have more bones in their bodies then full grown humans. Cats has 230 bones while humans only have 206 bones in their bodies which is really an amazing fact. Another fact is that cats has the largest eyes from all the felines and can see six times better in the dark then humans.

You have probably seen your cat eating grass, this is only a way to get rid of stomach acids and fur (of the licking) in their stomachs.

People have cats not just on the home, but in other places too. Pirate ships in the storys have pet cats, and the navy used to keep them in the same tradition. People don’t only have them in the home, I’ve seen companys own cats. There was even once a commercial property in london where one of the terms of renting the place included looking after the cat that came with the building! Whether your cat lives indoors or outdoors will affect the lifespan of your cat. Researches has it that the average lifespan of a cat living indoors is 16 years or longer while outdoors will only live for 3 to 5 years. Your cat’s hearing is also very good better than your pet dog’s. Although a pet cat is not demanding to keep however, they need adequate feeding, regular grooming and proper veterinary care. Taking your cat to the vet for regular check-ups and vaccinations to keep your pet healthy and gives him the protection that he needs. This is where cat insurance comes in. Get your cat the proper insurance to ensure that everytime your pet gets sick you will be able to afford its medical costs.

Make sure that your pet has a litter tray, separate food and water bowls, a comfortable quiet nook where you place his basket and cushion to sleep on and a comb and a brush.

You should feed your cat only food from a reputable manufacturer to ensure that it stays healthy.

If you love your pet cat you will need to take care of your pet please follow all this pet advise that I bring daily very closely to ensure that your cat is properly taken care of.
